For single player, really anything with ccr is strong. Italy, being one of the few non horde tags in the game with 25%, I would say is the strongest. Lotharingia is decent, Roman Empire is probably better.Restore the Roman Empire and own the entire Mediterranean and Black Sea coast lines. Mary of Lotharingia. As Burgundy, own the Low Countries region as core provinces and have France and Austria as your subjects.Forming the HRE as Lotharingia should expand your mission tree instead of replacing it. Right now if you centralise the HRE, your mission tree is always replaced with a slightly expanded version of the German one. In Lotharingia's case that doesn't really make a lot of sense, considering they're pretty much set up to both claim the emperorship ....
