I disconnected the negative battery cable and left it off for probably an hour. Hooked it back up. Started the truck and let it idle for about 2-3 minutes and it appeared the gauge started to move a little.

Also the temperature gauge stays stuck on ...Oct 29, 2022 · After checking wiring fans have 12 volts to them and run when jumpered to battery. Grounds checked out good. Trigger wire checks out good. Fans did not come on when engine at operating temp. Coolant temp sensor was disconnected and fans come. Replaced coolant temp sensor after engine cooled down. Engine hot A/C turned off. Out of the blue driving to work, my 2010 2500HD tells me 'ENGINE HOT, A/C TURNED OFF'. The water temp gauge is stuck at the lowest reading as if it's not working. I checked under the hood and the engine isn't any hotter than normal. Driving home from work, same issue but then the engine warning light came on!.
